The B variant of Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning will serve aboard our two new carriers HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales - together they herald a new era of British naval air power. The F-35B is fast, stealthy, and offers the same remarkable vertical/short take off & landing capabilities that made its predecessor, the Sea Harrier, so suited to operating from the crowded decks of an aircraft carrier. In tribute, our F-35B desk sculpture has been cast in solid aluminium and polished to a high sheen such that its subtle curves and angles catch the light.
